You will then be presented with a web page similar
to the one shown below, or at
this link.
On the left side are your "Drawing Tools" and the entire dotted-box
area on the right is the total area available for the
decoration of your coffee mug.Please note that for our 11-oz and
12-oz coffee mugs this area is 3" x 3" in size;
and for our 15-oz coffee mugs it is: 3.5" x 3.5". Wrap-around
decorations are 8.3" x 3" and 8.3" x 3.5" respectively.
For decorations on both mug sides, two work areas are offered (details
here).
(Note: The design area might appear huge to you
but when all is said and done, the area will be just as indicated
above. This differential comes about that your monitor can only show
72 dpi or 96 dpi while we have to print with 300 dpi.)

To begin designing your mug, you
might want to start with text.
Just click on: Add Text and change the text in the Text 1 data entry
box to whatever text you require.
Then click on the color wheel symbol that will appear to select your
text color and immediately your text will show up in the dashed box,
your design area. You can then also click on the "AA" link to select
your font.
You can drag the text - or any design - by the corner points to make
them suit your needs. You can also move the entire design part up or
down, left or right. You can add another line to the same text box
or open another text box. You can also import your own image files
or select any design from our Clip Art selection.
The "Layer Up" and "Layer down" links will permit you to determine
the order in which your designs appear, one on top or below the
other.If you want to use your own digital photos or
digital image files, make sure that they all have a resolution of at
least 300 dpi's and are in the dimensions as they should appear in
the final mug decoration. If you do not respect these minimum
requirements, your mug decoration might come out very pixelated and
not to your linking.
(Note: Your design will look OK on the screen but NOT on the
finished mugs.)
Try out all the different options offered by the Mug
Designer and you'll see that it's rather easy to design a mug
decoration as you imagined it. You can always delete
your design and start anew, or just erase part of it and create a
new one.
Please note that it is not always a good idea to
decorate to the physical limits of the mugs (as indicated by the
dotted box). Give your design some room to "breath" and do not use
all the space available, unless you absolutely must......

Should you require both mug sides to be decorated
with different art works or digital photos, you can then create two
(2) different designs by using the respective decorating area of the
Mug Designer.
